Cuddle Magic is a warm familiar hug. Whether the embrace is to console, reunite, or say farewell, it holds the listener tight and sways one back and forth with the time of its own music.
Beautiful strings and woodwinds lay the groundwork for intricate vocal harmonies that one might find reminiscent of Joanna Newsome. The group defiantly has its folk roots among strumming guitars, banjos, and washboardy percussion. But vocal patterns and time changes that suggest a well-studied background in jazz at times.
This thirteen plus member group from Jamaica Plain Massachusetts knows how to convey exactly the feeling and tone of each song to its audience, and will be doing so at Boulder Coffee Co. along side Baby Shiver’s Boutique April 18th.
